Deep Silver enters publishing agreement with Atlus in Europe

Includes Persona 5

Well this is weird news to wake up to!

Citing differences of opinion, NIS recently removed themselves from their publishing agreement with Atlus/Sega in Europe. This put the fans in that region in a bad spot, as Atlus is notoriously absent there, and often releases games late, or not at all. That may changed today though, as the publisher has noted that Deep Silver has stepped in to take over.

According to the notification they have partnered to release “multiple titles” in Europe, including Persona 5, Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse, and 7th Dragon III: Code: VFD. All of these will be released in physical and digital form and “more” Atlus and Sega games are “in the works.”

More details will come soon, and several of these titles won’t be released at the same time as North America, but it’s a start. I know a lot of our European readers have been upset at Atlus lately, and this might change the tide.
