DeathSpank voice actor really got into the character

Voice actor Michael Dobson was born to be the voice of DeathSpank. Michael does that “full of himself douchebag” attitude perfectly, says DeathSpank creator Ron Gilbert, and easily nailed his audition session for the character.  Gilbert told me during my preview time earlier this week that Michael “was the first guy to walk in. I just heard him and went cancel everyone else!”

Michael not only nailed the voice, but he really got into the character of DeathSpank. “There came this point where [Michael] would read lines and go “Oh DeathSpank wouldn’t say that. He’d say it like this!” He’d be changing the wording on me a little bit.”

DeathSpank is a funny game and a big part of the reason people will find any game that’s meant to be comical is the voice talent. If you don’t even chuckle at the first five minutes of DeathSpank, then you are a soulless person. SOULLESS!
