Death Stranding has actually, finally, definitely gone gold

Never thought we’d see the day

Kojima Productions’ esoteric-looking adventure title Death Stranding has “gone gold.” As in, the game is finished, finito, complete and finally ready to be put into mass production, just a little over a month ahead of its November release date.

Death Stranding is complete and has gone gold!” tweeted the studio. “Hideo Kojima, the Kojima Productions team, everyone at Sony and Guerrilla, and cast members all put their heart and soul into it. Thanks for your support, we can’t wait to bring you a new ‘A Hideo Kojima Game.'”

It’s been a very long road for the baffling-looking sci-fi title, with years of development and fans only really getting to see the game in action – in some capacity – this past summer. But soon it will be time to see whether all the fuss, hype and baffling conspiracy theories were worth it, when Death Stranding finally releases on PS4 November 8.
