Minor discounts ahead
Now live on Steam and Uplay, South Park: The Fractured but Whole and reviews are mostly positive (you can check out Dtoid’s review here). The Uplay title continues what we’re seeing lately with all pre-order discounts being heavily reduced during release week. So if you want to play the game during release period, discounts currently available are a bit more limited compared to 2-3 months ago.
The good news is that for a limited time, PC gamers will still receive a free copy of South Park: The Stick of Truth when they pick up a copy of The Fractured but Whole – a perfect freebie for those new to the game series. While we’re a bit biased (as we liked the first installment), we think this is an overall decent bonus for the early adopters of the sequel.
So far we’re spotting discounts for PC gamers at around 15% off (give or take a few percentages). For console gamers, you’re pretty much looking at full price, though if you had pre-order your copies at Best Buy, The Fractured but Whole is one of the few titles this Fall that’s eligible for Best Buy’s $10 rewards certificate for pre-order games.
Update 10/18: There is now a $10 discount at Newegg for the PS4 and Xbox One copies of The Fractured but Whole.

Strangely GamersGate’s deals are lacking mentions of a free copy of The Stick of Truth which we had initially thought was a retailer wide offering post-launch. We’re unsure if this was a misstep in the description – in either case with GMG having better pricing, there’s probably little reasons to buy at GamersGate unless you have store credit build up.

As far as we can tell, only the PC version of South Park: The Fractured but Whole will qualify for Amazon Prime’s new game discount of 20% off. So if you have Prime and you’re a PC gamer – this is probably the best choice. (Amazon also includes a free digital copy of South Park: The Stick of Truth.
Discount on the console copies was non-existent until early this morning as Newegg now offers a $10 off incentive for either the PS4 or Xbox One copy. Deals added above for reference.
