Dead Space release date revealed plus bonus trailer

What happens when you take Alien‘s “in space no one can hear you scream setting, fuse it together with the vomit-inducing creatures from The Thing, and add a layer of interactivity that cannot be found in either of those movies? You get Dead Space, a third-person survival horror title by EA Redwood Shores.

The latest trailer for Dead Space, which can be found above, shows us a couple of things. First off, the game’s release date is set for October 31 (Xbox 360 and PS3). And secondly, Dead Space looks like it could not only be very tense, but possibly even creepy, or dare I say it, scary.

While we may not know exactly how chilling Dead Space will be until Halloween, there’s always the prequel comic book to tide us over until then.
