2008’s limb-slicing sci-fi horror title Dead Space has found its way onto Origin’s On the House program. For a limited time, you’ll be able to add the game to your PC library for free. It’s yours to keep.

For an extra dash of nostalgia, here’s the original launch trailer in all its 360p glory:

I adored this series at the time, and while I’d be more likely to revisit Dead Space 2 if I went back for a revisit, the original still holds a special place in my heart. A horror game is really only as good as its creatures, and the gruesome Necromorphs are among my favorites. I love stomping those things.
