And with that, the Dead Space trilogy is now playable on Xbox One.

Dead Space became backward compatible last year, and as of today, Dead Space 2 and Dead Space 3 are tagging along too. If you no longer have your Xbox 360 game discs, all three limb-blasting space-horror adventures are available for purchase digitally (those three links point to the store listings).

Personally speaking, the timing here is fortuitous. Dead Space has been fresh on my mind this whole week since watching Mark Brown’s “The Design of Dead Space” video for his wonderful Game Maker’s Toolkit series. I don’t have any desire to dip into the third game, but I’ve felt the urge to revisit the original and Dead Space 2, definitely. It’ll be great to have that pair accessible on Xbox One.
