Koei Tecmo have announced that fast-paced 3D fighter Dead or Alive 5 Last Round will feature at EVO 2018, where it will appear in official capacity as a side-tournament.

Last Round released in 2015 in the arcades, as well as on PS4, PC and Xbox One. The fighter features great visuals and incredibly fast gameplay, with an emphasis on counters, throws and reversals. This year sees the game removed from the main stage festivities, but it’s good to see publishers Koei continue to support the game’s competitive scene with this side-tourney.

“To the Dead or Alive fans and fighting game fans, thanks to you all we are proudly announcing that DOA5 Last Round will take part in the world’s largest fighting game festival EVO,” said producer Yosuke Hayashi and director Yohei Shimbori in a press release. “Five years have passed since the DOA5 series started and it’s been played by more than 10 million gamers. Meanwhile, the DOA community has expanded to become larger than ever before”.

The Evolution Championships 2018 (EVO) will once again see the greatest fighting game players in the world descend on the Mandalay Bay Casino in Las Vegas, to square off in the biggest fighting games of today; Dragon Ball FighterZ, Street Fighter V, Tekken 7, BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle and many more.

EVO 2018 takes place between August 3-5 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
