DC Comic publishing God of War comic book starting October

This October, DC Comics is teaming up with Sony to deliver a six-part God of War comic book series, from DC’s WildStorm imprint.

Not much is known about the comics, other than it’s being written by Marv Wolfman, known for his work on The New Teen Titans and Crisis on Infinite Earths. A new issue will hit stands each month leading up to God of War III‘s scheduled March release.

As a huge fan of the series, I’d say more Kratos and anything that explores the fiction of the universe is welcome. But I must say I’m getting a bit overwhelmed by all of the game-to-comic adaptations. Isn’t it supposed to be the other way around? What happened to the good old days of LJN ruining my favorite comic book characters in NES games?
