Dark Souls III: The Fire Fades Edition is out now on consoles

$50 gets you the complete Dark Souls III experience

I was expecting a “complete” re-release for Dark Souls III at retail, but not so soon. Bandai Namco has compiled the core game and its two expansions — the frigid and somewhat underwhelming Ashes of Ariandel, and the brutal, much more fitting sendoff The Ringed City — into one package.

This new retail release, Dark Souls III: The Fire Fades Edition, is out today on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, priced at $50. Considering the season pass alone would be $25, that’s not bad at all.

I don’t think there’s any topping Bloodborne, but DSIII is a clear runner-up for me.
