Dairojo! Samurai Defenders takes tower defense and throws it back to the Edo period of Japan’s history, when all the cool sh*t went down. We’re talking ninja and samurai and throwing stars and stuff. This is a DSiWare title that was just released today, created by Japanese devs Kawamoto Industrial and published by Abylight.
You select one of six Japanese castles and defend them in four game modes: normal, score attack, versus and random. This game supports DS Download Play, so you can go up against a friend via local wireless.
I think this game looks pretty good, and I’m always a sucker for tower defense. I like how cute the units are with their little round heads and miniature weapons.
Dairojo! Samurai Defenders is available now for 800 DSi Points.
