Cyberpunk 2077 may be launching by the end of 2016

Not enough time to finish The Witcher 3

Remember Cyberpunk 2077? It’s the game that The Witcher developer CD Projekt Red announced way back in January of 2013, and have since been incredibly quiet about ever since.

CD Projekt Red has previously said to not expect it to talk about Cyberpunk until 2017 at the very earliest, but if a report by the German Gamereactor site is to be believed, then maybe we’ll be seeing the game itself well before then.

Claiming to have information from a “source close to the company,” Gamereactor says CD Projekt Red is currently aiming to release Cyberpunk 2077 by the end of 2016. At the moment it may only be working on a PC version of the game, however considering the massive success of The Witcher 3 it’s not unreasonable to expect it also to head to Xbox One and PS4 at some point.

Gamereactor is usually a pretty reliable source, being one of the biggest game publications in Europe. However, this is still a rumour based on an anonymous source. Nothing is official or confirmed until CD Projekt Red itself says so.

We’ve contacted CD Projekt Red for comment, and will update should we get anything from it.
