Last year at PAX East, Jonathan Holmes had a chance to interview Tribute Games (makers of Mercenary Kings, which Patrick liked a bunch) about their newest creation, Curses ‘N Chaos. It’s a two-button couch/online co-op single-screen hyphen-hyphen wave-based beat-em-up that aims to bring distilled fun to your living room. 

It was supposed to release last year but ended up becoming a bigger project than expected. There’s now a robust alchemy system to combine your items and create summons. It’ll be cross-buy, cross-play, and cross-save if you get it on the PS4 or PS Vita. It’s also available for the PC and Mac. Whichever system you choose, you’ll be able to pick it up on August 18 for $9.99. If you’re not sold yet, here’s a trailer:
