Criterion announces still more Burnout Paradise DLC

If there’s one game that has consistently managed to have great DLC released for it, Burnout Paradise would have to be my pick. Criterion is continuing to crank out new expansions, announcing a “Cops and Robbers Pack” on their site.

The new expansion will bring “the thrills and spills of cops and robbers car chases in Paradise City.” Police chases aren’t exactly new to the series, but we haven’t seen them since Burnout 2, and there have been several iterations between then and now. Screens of the expansion are currently available in the in-game browser on PS3 and PC, while 360 fans will have to wait until they’re uploaded to the Burnout website later today.

Since they’re bringing back police chases, I’d like to mention that they are more than welcome to include other modes which have been left by the wayside. Specifically, crash mode. The pinball-esque, “Showtime” activity has never really scratched the itch for purposely wrecking cars which drew me to the Burnout franchise in the first place.
