Crimson Skies could be next for Weisman after Shadowrun

In a chat with Shacknews, game designer Jordan Weisman spoke about his interest in possibly working on more Crimson Skies once the chaos of Shadowrun being Kickstarted has died down. “I’m hopeful that’s another property that I can approach soon,” he commented.

“I’m in discussions with them about that. I’m hoping that we can bring that back to life as well. That era and that story is one of my favorites that we came up with and I’d love to be able to go back and tell stories in that world as well.”

Before we get too excited about the prospect of air pirates and alternate-history 1930s, Weisman wants to put this in context. “I don’t want to bite off more than we can chew right now. First comes Shadowrun, and we want to make that great, and then we’ll figure out where to go after that.”

Regardless of what does happen next, this news makes me happy if for no other reason than now I don’t have to act quite so bitter every time Conrad geeks out over Shadowrun Returns.
