Reports from Seattle news station KIRO 7 are stating that Counter-Strike co-creator Jess Cliffe has been arrested for “sexual exploitation of a child.” He was booked at 1:17 am on Thursday, February 1 at King County Jail and has been denied bail. Local police claim he hasn’t been charged with a crime yet.

Cliffe doesn’t have a previous criminal record, but KIRO 7 found that Cliffe had an assault case against him in 2013 that was dismissed from court. A spokesperson for Valve told Kotaku, “We are still learning details of what actually happened. Reports suggest he has been arrested for a felony offense. As such, we have suspended his employment until we know more.”
