Count the game references in rapper Random’s ‘Epoch’

Forever Famicom is the gift that keeps on giving! After releasing two companion EPs, rapper Random put the finishing touches on a music video for “Epoch” off the original CD. Sampling the main theme from Chrono Trigger, the song is Ran’s declaration at having made it in the music scene. Along the way, a ton of games get referenced in the lyrics, and for that reason, “Epoch” may very well be my favorite track off the album.

The video was originally filmed during PAX East 2011, so watch out for a few noticeable faces. Also, I have to show a little love for Ran’s producer, K-Murdock, who features prominently in the video. No one ever shows respect for the producer, so I gotta give him his due. Thanks for beats, K-Murdock!
