We just told you about the possibility of SCi Entertainment/Eidos being taken over, and now it looks like Ubisoft was the one making a bid approach.
The Guardian just ran an article that says that the bidding is “believed to be from its French rival Ubisoft.” They also mention a few other notable companies that seem to be poking their noses into the situation, namely Time Warner, Electronic Arts, and even Sony — yes, the same company that SCi blamed for recent losses.
Nothing is definite yet, but the situation is worth keeping an eye on.
I wonder: if a French company were to own Tomb Raider and Lara Croft, would her English accent have to change to a French one?
