Make that “the next cute (and also, uh, good) WiiWare game.” Based on this first teaser, I’m inclined to say yes — the potential is certainly there, anyway. Gods vs. Humans is currently in the works by Zallag and Artefact Studios, and it taps into Norse, Egyptian, Greco-Roman, and Japanese mythology. Lovely.
The basic premise is that humanity wants to build an enormous tower to challenge the gods head-to-head, so as a god yourself, naturally, you want to stop them before they reach your sky-bound kingdom.
It sounds as if there’s a lot of strategy involved — what powers to use when, and taking different classes of humans into consideration — but no actual gameplay footage has been shown yet. Again, if this teaser and the attached concept art are anything to go by, Gods vs. Humans will be one to keep an eye on.
