Confirmed: No PS Game Archives at Japanese Vita launch

I was hoping to jump right into some older games on my shiny new PlayStation Vita, but a new item on Sony Japan’s PlayStation Vita Q&A kills that.

The question asks if Game Archives (PlayStation and other retro digital releases, like TurboGrafx) will be supported on the Vita. Sony says that the Vita will not support these games at launch, and that they’ll share details of support at a later date.

You shouldn’t be worried that support won’t come — it will. It just sucks that the feature won’t be available at launch. Maybe they’ll have stuff figured out for the North American launch, set for early next year.
