S-Tier Kagune

Kagune NameFeaturesWhy S-Tier?

Legendary (3%)
One of the fastest Kagune in the game. Solid against single enemies and devastating against multiple targets. Takizawa is an S-Tier due to Kagune’s incredible efficiency against multiple enemies, ease of use, superb speed and mobility, and good 1v1 capabilities.

Legendary (3%)
Mayu can be near unbeatable in the hands of an experienced player. By far, it is the best Kagune in terms of hindering enemies. Ideal for oppressive players. Mayu is an S-Tier because slowing and trapping foes yield fantastic results. Mayu deals excellent damage and rapid attacks in melee, and is quite deadly when an opponent is slowed or trapped.

Legendary (3%)
Eto is our favorite skirmisher: very fast, high range and mobility, paired with optimal damage. Used by many players with good results.Eto is an S-Tier thanks to the perfect damage balance and an array of brutal ranged attacks. If you are good at hit-and-run fighting and love to chase enemies, you’re gonna love Eto.

Legendary (3%)
Of all the Kagune, Ken is probably the most player-friendly out there. This Kagune has no weak spots and offers balanced performance with high damage output.Ken is an S-Tier for its extremely high damage, multiple stages, unique abilities, and problem-solving stuns. Also, Ken is the easiest to learn how to play and use regularly.

Rare (11%)
Hinami is a new Kagune added in the latest GHOUL://RE update. If aerial combat and crazy moves are your thing, this is the Kagune for you. Probably the best looking. Hinami is an S-Tier because it is a near-broken Kagune with incredible damage all across the board, and some epic air combos. Equally intimidating against single and multiple targets.

A-Tier Kagune

Kagune NameFeaturesWhy A-Tier?

Legendary (3%)
If impressive damage output is what you are looking for, seek no further. Noro is a beast when it comes to inflicting pain and hindering effects upon foes.Noro is an A-Tier due to the combination of sheer force and tactical prowess. In addition to incredible damage, Noro can knock your enemies down and hammer them down while helpless.

Legendary (3%)
Possibly the best Kagune for 1v1 combat. Yomo deals with high damage and has explosive single-target power for maximum effect. Yomo is an A-Tier simply because it excels in combat against single targets, and is probably the strongest in the game in 1v1 scenarios. Also, Yomo has a great damage score and high mobility, making this Kagune a real pain for competing players.

Common (86%)
After the latest update, Tsukiyama is now a Common, not a Rare Kagune. It offers a dynamic combat style packed with impressive combos and speed.Tsukiyama is an A-Tier thanks to the incredible speed, mobility, and devastating combo attacks. It may not be Legendary Kagune, but the combat performance is legendary.

Rare (11%)
One of the best Kagune in the game, Bin is quite fast and nearly impossible to parry effectively against. Bin is an A-Tier simply because it is extremely fun to play, AND quite powerful all across the battlefield. Lightning speed attacks do well with spectacular aerial attacks and combos.

B-Tier Kagune

Kagune NameFeaturesWhy B-Tier?

Legendary (3%)
Apart from looking cool, Tatara is not to be underestimated, even if it sits in B-Tier. Tatara has a speedy M1 attack and can break you in half in uppercut-critical combos. Tatara is a B-Tier because of predictable moves and slow crit, despite dealing excellent damage in barrages of hits. Against bad players, Tarata is easily an A-Tier Kagune, but against decent players, it drops to B.

Rare (11%)
Yamori can be quite deadly if you don’t pay attention. Not the fastest Kagune out there, but what it lacks in speed, it makes up for in power.Yamori is a B-Tier Kagune due to low speed and mobility. Also, having great explosive damage attacks that are too slow to wind up doesn’t help either.

Common (86%)
This is perhaps the biggest surprise in the game. Despite being a Common Kagune, Wing is, in fact, an excellent choice for a basic setup and your primary starting Kagune.Wing is a Tier-B for its excellent melee and long-range balance, and high usability in the early stages of the game. There’s nothing special about Wing, but there are also no significant drawbacks.

Rare (11%)
Shachi is a Kagune freshly introduced in the latest update. Instead of a Common, now it is a Rare Kagune. Shachi is a B-Tier Kagune because, similar to Noro, it is drastically nerfed compared to the original anime series. Decent combos and crit, but nothing close to the S-Tier Kagune, where, according to the canon, Shachi should be.

C-Tier Kagune

Kagune NameFeaturesWhy C-Ter?

Common (86%)
We feel that Nishio is a poor man’s Wing Kagune. It is a basic Kagune you can forget immediately and just start rolling for Wing or better Kagune in the “Rare” category. Nishio is a C-Tier for several reasons: basic moves, range attacks are quite short, and has little to no utility powers.

D-Tier Kagune

Kagune NameFeaturesWhy D-Tier?

Common (86%)
Beaked is here for players who love big swords, and that’s about it.Beaked is a D-Tier because, apart from solid melee damage and some nice sword combos, it has nothing else left to offer. Avoid it.

GHOUL://RE Quinque Tier List [Updated Arime and Fueguchi One]

We finally have some new Quinque to sink our teeth into, and new versions (V2) bring a lot of good stuff to the table. Like Kagune, our Quinque Tier List is made for the entire game sequence, although some Quinque rate better in particular situations, or when played by masters of the game. Here is our definitive GHOUL://RE skill tree guide to give you an extra push during character development.

S-Tier Quinque [Updated Arime and Fueguchi One]

Quinque Name FeaturesWhy S-Tier?

Crafting Only
Powerful, fast, and fun to play! SSS Owl is a party favorite for many reasons, which is why you must put some effort into crafting this Quinque.SSS Owl is an S-Tier due to unprecedented speed, mobility, and force. Whether it is rushing through enemies or sending shards flying, Owl is devastating in any scenario. Also, the teleport-impaling combo is quite effective and pleasing to the eyes.

Legendary (3%)
Alongside Ginkui, Jason is another bloody mess entrepreneur devoted to pressing and crushing enemies in a string of rushes. Jason is an S-Tier for its sheer brutality and the ability to mow down anything in its path. With enough pressure and combos, Jason can bring down any number of opponents in a vicious spectacle.

Crafting Only
Ginkui is a master devourer, deploying tentacles as well as other parts of its body. If absolute carnage is your goal, Ginkui is what you need. Ginkui is an S-Tier because it can slash, stab, and knock down foes like they are made of paper. In the hands of a good player, Ginkui can be a true nightmare.

Legendary (3%)
Whatever you want – IXA has it! From brutal melee slashes to tendril attacks, IXA is fast, diverse, and seriously deadly.IXA is an S-Tier for several reasons: marking enemies followed by detonations and lightning-fast stabs, blocking them with a shield, and countering with fatal dashes.
Arima could be the best character for delivering criticals, with solid DPS and its passive. However, Arima has a low range, and its combo potential is not the best.Arima is an S-Tier because it has two good modes, excellent sustained damage per second, and it can apply stacks of criticals and abilities you can detonate with your crit.
Apart from a relatively low range, Fueguchi One is a true born killer, with its superior single-target damage and 1v1 potential. Fueguchi One is an S-Tier due to its broken M1 and critical range, paired with fantastic combo potential and brutal damage on single foes.

A-Tier Quinque

Quinque NameFeatures Why A-Tier?

Legendary (3%)
Narukami is famous for its charges and electric-powered attacks, in addition to mighty slams. A diverse, mighty Quinque capable of slicing through foes like a knife through butter.Narukami is an A-Tier Quinque for an array of diverse and powerful attacks. You can slice and blast opponents, and stack your charges as you do to convert your attacks into storms.

Rare (11%)
Provided you are a good player and a tactician, Nutcracker is truly a force to be reckoned with, utilizing lunges, traps, and explosions into sequenced attacks. Nutcracker is an A-Tier because you can pierce foes and leave the sword as a time bomb for a devastating effect, or trap them inside. A perfect balance of high damage and great utility attacks, but requires some skill to master.

Legendary (3%)
Aus has one of the best moves in the game: stab your enemies, drag them back, and welcome them with a fierce combo slamming them on the ground. A well-executed combo of melee and long-range attacks. Aus is an A-Tier for its impressive and spectacular combat style, both close and long-range. Has a decent deflection move too, and once grabbed or pinned, enemies have no chance.

Crafting Only
Solace is all about burning enemies down, with a touch of bow and dagger expertise to keep your foes at bay. Some say the strongest Quinque in the game, but requires a degree of skill.Solace is an A-Tier Quinque for obvious reasons: fire bursts, blasts, or volleys have a dramatic impact when combined with awesome kicks and burning your foes alive mid-air.

B-Tier Quinque

Quinque NameFeaturesWhy B-Tier?

Legendary (3%)
A ballerina among butchers, Kuai is an epitome of grace and lethality. By far the most beautiful Quinque to watch. Kuai is a B-Tier due to easy combos, good single target damage, and a lot of gap-closers, but it lacks long-range attacks and is having trouble against multiple foes.

Rare (11%)
This Quinque is rarely used, we assume since most moves can be blocked easily. Still, it offers easy and effective combos and good performance against many foes. Chi She is a B-Tier for the solid amount of damage and good AoE powers applicable in many situations. However, the mobility and range are atrocious, which is why players avoid it.

C-Tier Quinque

Quinque NameFeaturesWhy C-Tier?

Rare (11%)
This Quinque is fun to play, has many AoE attacks, and features a decent combo value. Still, range attacks against many targets are not wide enough to grant Bokusatse a higher tier.Bokusatsu is a C-Tier Quinque predominantly because of the easy to block moves, long animations, and nerfed surface of AoE attacks.

Rare (11%)
Serrate is one of the best Rare Quinque, with excellent combos and a nice amount of damage. We like the V2, since it’s quite unique. Serrate is a C-Tier for us because the mobility and range are simply too awful. If you think only of 1v1 scenarios, then Serrate is an easy A-Tier, but there’s so much more than PvP in this game.

Rare (11%)
Demon Yamada inflicts a decent amount of damage, and has solid AoE attacks, but we think you will play this Quinque seldomly due to many flaws.Demon Yamada offers easy combos and a decent amount of damage output, but it can be handled by almost anybody from a distance, and has a dreadful range and mobility.

D-Tier Quinque

Quinque NameFeaturesWhy D-Tier?

Common (86%)
In early game stages, Kajiri can be a solid B-Tier Quinque, with proper ranged moves and fighting against the environment. However, once you catch the momentum, it becomes obsolete.Kajiri is a D-Tier because it practically has no mobility, requires Ninja aiming skills, and it can easily be blocked.

Common (86%)
If this were a Grinding Tier list, Yukimura would be an A-Tier Quinque. However, despite good mobility and AoE attacks, you can tell it struggles against Rare Quinque. Yukimura is a D-Tier Quinque because you need V2 to count for higher Tiers. It can serve you well at the beginning, but you will still want to roll those Rare Quinque instead.

Common (86%)
Doujima V1 is simply terrible in all aspects except AoE. However, V2 offers high damage and impressive mobility. Doujima is a D-Tier due to extremely basic options for V1. For PvP, Doujima V2 is a Tier-B Quinque easily, but even then, Legendary ones offer higher damage output and utilities.

Common (86%)
Yes, Scorpion is an excellent Common Quinque, with good mobility and combos, but apart from 1v1, we can’t see any meaningful purpose, unless you can get V2. Scorpion is a D-Tier if you play V1, but if you manage to get V2 it can switch to B-Tier no problem, especially for players looking for mobility and combos.

Complete GHOUL://RE V2 Kagune Tier List [Updated]

The latest update in April brought us additional V2 Kagune, and pretty much all of them are upgraded versions of existing Kagune. However, some of them are hugely improved, which is why we introduced the additional V2 Tier List, so you can easily compare them to Kagune you are already experienced.

V2 S-Tier Kagune

V2 Kagune NameFeaturesWhy S-Tier?
Takizawa is a super-quick Kagune capable of amazing combat prowess, crazy combos, and an awesome damage output. V2 Takizawa is an easy S-Tier Kagune for its combination of speed, usability, and the capacity to inflict tons of damage.
With its amazing power and eye-catching moves, Yomo was alway an interesting choice, but with new buffs for V2, it is even more pleasing to play with.V2 Yomo is an S-Tier due to the insane and attractive abilities all across the board. It is one of the most popular Kagune on the internet for a reason.
There is still a debate over whether Ken V1 is better or worse than V2. Still, we think that Ken V2 equally deserves the S-Tier for its speed, damage, combos, and playability. V2 Ken is still an S-Tier Kagune because it features super-quick moves and incredible combo extenders, making Ken V2 a high-demand Kagune yet again.

V2 A-Tier Kagune

V2 Kagune NameFeaturesWhy A-Tier?
Eto is now an obtainable V2 Kagune, still with some of the best moves in the game. Despite changes, Eto is still more than capable Kagune loved by many.V2 Eto is an A-Tier because his damage was nerfed slightly, and the M1 bleed effect has significantly reduced damage.
Nishio is still a favorite when it comes to 1v1 scenarios, but now some claim it is borderline broken due to a new set of moves and especially crit. V2 Nishio is an A-Tier not only for its excellent PvP potential, but also near-broken critical, and good M1 range.
Noro is quite interesting to play with and can inflict an insane amount of damage, but has one major flaw: it is annoyingly slow. V2 Noro is now an A-Tier for its highly impressive damage-dealing capabilities and combos. An easy S-Tier, provided much-needed speed.
With its Surge and Wing assault, Wing V2 is surprisingly capable for a Common Kagune. Good mobility and range, decent for raids as well.V2 Wing is surprisingly an A-Tier thanks to major V2 upgrades. It still requires good aiming skills and can easily be outdamaged by legendary Kagune, but alongside Nishio, it is still the best Kagune you can easily get.

V2 B-Tier Kagune

V2 Kagune NameFeaturesWhy B-Tier?
Beaked used to be a laughing stock, but things have changed. Now it i significantly better, with a new critical, and an excellent PvP potential. V2 Beaked is a B-Tier Kagune due to the massive upgrade compared to V1. It has a modded Z move now, and great combo possibilities to boot.

In addition to new Kugane, now we can enjoy eight new Quinque as well. Some of them have been drastically changed, some suffered only minor transformations, but generally speaking, they are all upgraded versions of previous Quinque, offering more moves, speed, and power. However, some are slightly nerfed, so check the tier lists below and

V2 S-Tier Quinque

V2 Quinque NameFeaturesWhy S-Tier?
One of the best Quinque in the game, Jason is still an intimidating opponent. Some claim that the V1 Jason is better, due to slightly reduced crit and damage, but V2 can be truly unforgiving V2 Jason is an S-Tier Quinque due to the mythic strength, some would say OP, and a string of moves and combos that are tough to beat, even with nerfed skill damage.
Aus also had many changes compared to V1, including crit increased to 6 seconds and reduced soft stun on X. One of the most surprising juggernauts in the game. V2 Aus is an S-Tier because of amazing crit that covers a lot of distance, and epic combo abilities. A really cool Quinque.
Even more fatal than before, Narukami V2 received several damage boosts, as well as a faster critical. If you liked Narukami V1, you’re gonna adore V2.V2 Narukami is an S-Tier since it is substantially upgraded compared to V1, primarily with damage all across the board and better crits.

V2 A-Tier Quinque

V2 Quinqe NameFeaturesWhy A-Tier?
Serrate could be the best V2 in the game right now, with its all-around destructive capabilities. There are a lot of changes compared to V1, including some pesky bugs and FPS drops. V2 Serrate is an A-Tier Quinque because it is still a highly potent Quinque equipped with stuns, ragdolling, and hyper armor.
Of all the Quinque, Nutcracker suffered the least changes, and it still requires a bit of skill and talent to be used to maximum effect. A solid all-rounder in the right hands. V2 Nutcracker is an A-Tier Quinque due to incredible usability in combat, lunges, traps, and utilities, not to mention explosions.
Although most players avoid Scorpion, the V2 version is quite attractive to play with. It has become significantly more effective in PvP situations. V2 Scorpion is an A-Tier thanks to its fast closeups and lunges, making it a dream come true for PvP. Has a decent crit with two hits, and it’s by far the best Common Quinque in the game.

V2 B-Tier Quinque

V2 Quinque NameFeaturesWhy B-Tier?
An underrated and often forgotten Quinque, Doujima now offers crazy M1 damage, hyper armor, slam, and a solid damage in all combat segments. V2 Doujima is a B-Tier because, despite the all-around abilities and new improvements, it is still easily outshone by Jason and Aus.
Yukimura is quite powerful, considering it is a common Quinuqe. It is fast, has better damage now, and it can defeat more exotic enemies, provided it is managed and played by a veteran.V2 Yukimura is a B-Tier Quinque since it requires considerable playing skill to shine. V2 has faster and mightier moves than V1, but it is still not as powerful as Quinque in S and A Tiers.
