While everyone was busy freaking out about Street Fighter IV and Mike Patton’s cringe-worthy voice acting in Bionic Commando, Capcom quietly announced another sequel. This winter, Commando 3 (a new title in the Commando series, whose sequel was know in the U.S. as MERCS) will be coming to Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network.

Developed by Backbone Emeryville, Commando 3 will give players control of three characters: Animal (a former marine; Smoke (a female covert-top); and Boomer (explosives). The game will feature co-op play, vehicles, online leaderboards, and will cost 800 Microsoft points/$9.99 PSN human-being money.

The above video is simply a trailer for the upcoming film, John Rambo, which has almost nothing to do with Commando 3. I just hadn’t seen it until two days ago, and I thought others might have missed it as well. Watch carefully as Sylvester Stallone rips someone’s throat out with his bare hands … seriously.
