A surprise at Bethesda’s E3 conference, Commander Keen is being revived as a free-to-play mobile action title. A campaign mode is being teased alongside a co-op feature, PvP multiplayer, and some standard deathmatch options. Keen will be soft-launching this summer on Android and iOS and will feature Billy and Billie Keen, twins of the protagonist from ID Software’s original hit game.

Players will be able to drag and drop gadgets to summon allies, the story mode is promising to take us to Mars, and the visual style is reminiscent of a Saturday morning cartoon. It seems pretty much like what you’re want from a Commander Keen game, minus the mobile part.
