Scholars of the First Spoiler
Bandai Namco and From Software have released the opening cinematic of Dark Souls III.
Be warned, though, as it obviously contains massive spoilers for both the story and, presumably, at least some of the bosses. They’re very cool looking bosses, as you’d expect from a Souls game, but they’re also huge spoilers to some and I’m sure people will get angry at me if I say much more.
After Dark Souls and Dark Souls II finally won me over last month after years of disliking them, I’m pretty excited for this one. The trailer shows and mentions some things that are very interesting for those familiar with the series’ lore, and I can’t wait to explore them in more detail!
I’m also seeing quite a lot of Bloodborne influence in some of the visual designs, so seeing how far that goes will also be cool.
Dark Souls III releases for PC, PS4, and Xbox One on April 12.
