Colony builder Clockwork Empires now on Steam Early Access

Watch out for fish people

After a minor delay, Dungeons of Dredmor studio Gaslamp Games has brought its colony-building sim Clockwork Empires to Steam Early Access. It’s $29.99, currently only for PC.

If maintaining a colony doesn’t sound too appealing, dig a little deeper — there’s dark humor and general weirdness mixed in with the typical resource gathering and building elements.

Now, this is exactly the type of game I wouldn’t want to play in its early stages, but Gaslamp is taking community feedback to heart, so if you’re down with voicing your opinion, it’s definitely worth a look. Otherwise, expect about a nine-month wait until Clockwork Empires launches.
