Codemasters sues NetDevil over Jumpgate Evolution

Recommended Videos

Do you remember Jumpgate Evolution? The space-faring MMO was originally expected to release last year, and have had beta signups open for thirty months, with neither a product nor a beta having turned up yet. We’ve heard nary a word of it since a delay announcement back in May 2009.

Now it seems that publisher Codemasters is getting a little bit antsy for their investment. They have filed a complaint with the US Federal Court in San Francisco against Jumpgate’s developer NetDevil for failing to deliver the MMO by the agreed upon date of February 24th, 2009. They are asking for their initial 1.1 million dollar investment to be returned along with legal fees and other expenses relating to the project.

Well then, it certainly is starting to look like nobody is ever going to get to play this. Of course, with nothing having been said about it in over 18 months, perhaps everyone gave up hope a long time ago.
