Two Point Hospital is about to be invaded by aliens. Sega and Two Point Studios have announced that a new expansion will be coming to their hit management sim soon. Close Encounters will launch on August 29, 2019, and will bring a whole new range of challenges, buildings, diseases, and characters to the quirky game. I’m sure there will be plenty of references to E.T., Close Encounters of The Third Kind, and Alien.

The official description reads: “In Two Point Hospital – Close Encounters, you’ll have to tackle a whole range of new administrative challenges and demonstrate your ability to build, cure and improve to achieve hospital management greatness. This time all sorts of alien species are there to help, or make things worse.” You’ll find 34 new illnesses, three new cure rooms, and a plethora of challenges to keep you occupied.

As well as the main DLC pack, a smaller “Retro Items Pack” will also be available. Bringing 27 new in-game items, this add-on will be more focused on additional items instead of new locations and challenges. It will launch the same day as Close Encounters and will retail for $3.99.
