The thing about the Metal Gear games is that you really have no idea what’s going on until you’re actually playing the game. And even then it’s still a bit difficult to understand. Sorry, Kojima. We still love you.

We haven’t fully explored the whole four character thing for the upcoming PSP game Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker yet. What was the deal with the four Snakes? Is that four Big Bosses? Clones?

The slightly different clothing we saw in trailers and screens could just be Kojima telling us that there’s slightly different clothing. But I’d like to think of this as a clear indicator of four-player cooperative play. If it was four-player, how would it work?

And what kind of game is this? I loved the Portable Ops and the Acid! games, but the screenshots we’ve seen seem to point to something different. Full on portable MGS action? Yes, please! Kojima calls Peace Walker a “true sequel of the Metal Gear franchise,” but what the hell is that supposed to mean.

We were looking forward to the release of some new screenshots or details to tell us more, but the newest batch that hit today tell us nothing other than there might be big boss battles. Are we to guess at huge co-op boss battles? Are you done teasing us, Kojima?
