My Hero Academia Chapter 421 release date and time, explained

My Hero Academia is on a weekly schedule, but the manga takes at least one break every month to relieve Kohei Horikoshi of a grueling work schedule. So, after a scheduled one-week break, the next chapter of My Hero Academia will be available to read on Sunday, April 28, 2024.

Fans can check out Chapter 421 at approximately 10 a.m. EDT (7 a.m. PDT), closely aligning with the midnight release in Japan. If fans stay off social media, they should have no issues avoiding spoilers.

What to expect from My Hero Academia  Chapter 421

If you still need to catch up, we recommend you go through Chapter 420 before reading any further. Even if there aren’t any officially confirmed spoilers for the upcoming chapter, we can infer what might happen next based on the final few panels of Horikoshi’s most recent entry.

At the end of Chapter 420, Aizawa teleports to the battlefield and uses Eri’s Rewind Quirk to restore Midorya’s arms, which he had lost moments earlier while trying to save Shigaraki. Aizawa pulled off the miraculous stunt using Kurogiri’s Warp Gate Quirk and brought other heroes along to help. Based on the rapid pace of this battle, I would guess that we are almost near the end of it. All For One is running out of options and the odds are stacked against him. The Final War Arc has already been the longest Arc of the series, and there aren’t too many chess pieces left on the table.

Earlier in chapter 420, Aizawa mentioned that this is the start of phase three of their plan, so fans should still expect a few twists and turns before the story comes to a head. It’s hard to believe that there will be another Arc after this one, so fans should strap in and enjoy the ride while it lasts.
