Chrono Trigger coming to mobile, PSN and more

Chrono Trigger is one of those games that will live forever, and I’m glad. It’s such a great game that we’ll be telling grandkids about it. It hasn’t been that long since we first enjoyed the Super Nintendo RPG from Square, but it’s now being spread to other devices.

Square Enix Japan has confirmed a PlayStation Network Game Archives version of Chrono Trigger. It will be the PlayStation version of the game, of course. They say Japan’s PSN will get it this spring.

Chrono Trigger is also out as a mobile game. This is a port of the DS version, available in Japan for iMode cell phones. It was split into two parts for this mobile version, says Andriasang. It seems crazy that 630 yen (about $7) buys one of the greatest role-playing games ever created.

Of course, as usual, I’ll be tempted to buy multiple versions of a game I’ve already played a dozen times.
