Chronicles of Inotia is an iPhone game and this video proves it

My partner Anthony doesn’t like the word “chronicles” in his videogame titles. It’s an understandable opinion. The word has been a bit overused. But apparently the guys behind iPhone/iPod Touch RPG Chronicles of Inotia: Legend of Feanor didn’t get Anthony’s memo. Above is a trailer for the game. Don’t worry — it’s supposed to look dated. Possibly. Probably.

And that may not be a bad thing. The trailer shows off some decent visuals and gameplay that isn’t too stale considering the platform. While firm conclusions can’t be drawn from this little video, one can certainly see that the game has some potential, especially if you’re a 90’s RPG nerd.

The story of the game isn’t exactly what you would expect. Instead of the very formal situation in which the protagonist fights against evil, Inotia places the protagonist in search of evil that has already withdrawn. The evil in question is a dragon named Deathtaker. As I have come to understand, Deathtaker and Madonna are not related … physically.
