Choplifter HD confirmed for XBL and PSN release next week

Konami’s upcoming Choplifter HD has now had its release date confirmed and it’s coming really soon. The game will be available to PlayStation Network users on the 10th of January, with the Xbox Live Arcade version arriving on the 11th. It’s priced at $14.99 and 1200 Microsoft Points, respectively.

Developed by inXile Entertainment, Choplifter HD sticks close to the classic formula of rescuing citizens with your chopper, but it looks like the offensive capabilities have been bumped up too. Oh and there’s a zombie mode, of course, plus cameos by Super Meat Boy and Duke Nukem. The latter did it for the “babes,” presumably.

Conrad and Hamza both liked what they saw when they played preview builds of Choplifter HD, so it’s looking like this will be more than just a glossy make-over of the same old Choplifter of days gone by. We’ll find out next week.
