Reformat the Planet is a 2-disc DVD documentary by 2 Play Productions focusing on the 2006 Blip Festival and chiptune culture in general. The package will come with the original movie, a new short that looks at the intervening years since the original documentary was shot and a collector’s booklet consisting of photos and essays by chiptune musicians.
2PP has also partnered up with Fangamer to provide some awesome extras. Shirts, posters, pin sets and a mega Blip Fest bundle will all be on sale come August 24.
And if you’re in the New York area, you should join the good folks at 2PP at their party celebrating the new DVD release. Chiptune fun times will be going down on August 22 at the Le Poisson Rouge in New York City. Nullsleep, Bit Shifter, Glomag will all be performing as NO CARRIER provides some visuals. Tickets to the party are on sale online or you can get them at the door.
