Chinese AAA action game, Monkey King: Hero is Back, will make a westward journey

Let’s go ape!

Announced back at Shanghai’s ChinaJoy 2017 gaming event, Monkey King: Hero is Back is officially coming west on PlayStation 4. Based on the movie of the same name (which in turn is based on Journey to the West like everything else), Monkey King is developed by Chinese developer and publisher Oasis Games, who is working with Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan and October Media Group to create it.

I’m looking forward to seeing AAA Chinese titles and what that huge market can create besides browser and mobile games. Same goes for South Korea which seems to only care to make MMOs.
