Chill with Phil: Annual Metal Gear Series Playthrough!

Whose footprints are these!?

Recommended Videos

So, for those of you that don’t know much about me, I love Metal Gear, like a lot. In fact saying I love it may be an understatement in itself. As I sit here and stare at my profile picture and all of my Metal Gear games and related items around me this becomes painfully apparent. It is because of this profound adoration that I try to play through the main series at least once a year and all of the information coming out about Metal Gear Solid 5 has got me particularly eager to jump in. Whether you have already played and love the series or are just curious to see what Metal Gear is all about, why not stop by and “Chill With Phil” on your Saturday night!

So this is the part of the post where I detail out how this playthrough is going to go down. First off, no, I am NOT playing the Twin Snakes version of MGS. For the sake of flashbacks in later games on top of the fact that I love showing how games in a series have grown and changed as they have went on this is the way we are going to do it. Going hand in hand with my “showing how games have changed” angle I REFUSE to play the series in chronological order as this, to simply put it, is the wrong way to play it. I mean you can have your opinion, but it’s just not the right one. <3

If you disagree with this I implore you to rationalize why you think that chronological order is the way to play through down in the comments.
