With a game so closely connected to France, it’s fitting that this Rayman Origins collector’s edition is restricted to Europe. Doesn’t make it any less painful though, since I think I’d really like to have this one. It’s not the most luxurious collector’s edition in the world, but it’s pretty sweet.
The edition comes in a neat little slipcase that unfolds into a diorama, and contains the game, a soundtrack, and 50-page “Art of Rayman” book. Definitely looks worth picking up for fans of the series.
For you Euro folk, the edition costs £54.99 and will hit your territories on November 25. North Americans will be able to pick up the vanilla edition on November 15. I hope it performs well and proves to publishers that 2D platformers can still do well at retail.
