There’s a little over a month to go before the Japanese release of updated JRPG title Persona 5 Royal. Publisher Atlus, never one to shy away from a trailer or two (or 70), has released the anime adventure’s opening movie.

The 100-second clip features our favourite Phantom Thieves and Goro Akechi as they stroll through Tokyo like giants, with each of them rocking some delightful winter wear. Over the course of the video Joker, Futaba, Lady Ann et al smash down some buildings, steal some hearts, and celebrate among a mass of glistening jewels. Also, new girl Kasumi Yoshizawa performs a weird dance with an umbrella.

I don’t wanna over-analyse it, check it out for yourself:

Persona 5 Royal
launches on PS4 in Japan October 31, before heading west in spring 2020.
