Publisher Microids has released a near half-hour video of upcoming detective adventure Blacksad: Under the Skin, which launches on PC and consoles in the coming months.

Based on a Spanish comic-book of the same name, Blacksad is the gritty tale of the titular moggy, who works as a hard-boiled detective in an anthropomorphic imagining of 1950s New York. John Blacksad will investigate the disappearance of an all-star boxer, using his sharp feline senses to sniff out clues and leads, while conversing with a cast of shifty characters.

The description of the game is very much reminiscent of the Telltale Games formula, combing drama, dialogue choices, and QTE-based action sequences to tell its stories. You can see the game in action in the lengthy gameplay video below.

Blacksad: Under the Skin launches in Europe on PS4, PC and Xbox One November 14, before jumping to Nintendo Switch November 28. All console editions arrive in North America on December 10.
