CES 2010: This guy made it all worth it for me

Recommended Videos

I love the Consumer Electronics Show, but it’s a bitch sometimes. Today was one of those times. The floor was packed, people were stinky and gross, and you could barely move without running into someone else. On top of that, getting lost was the norm, and I’m doing this all on three hours of sleep. Again, I love this event, but today was really bumming me out.

Then came this guy. I don’t even know what this booth was pitching. Probably some karaoke solution. Who cares. All I know is that I was in some crazy hall where there were miles of stupid booths showing neon lights, iPhone covers, and power strips. I came across this small Asian man was making sweet music, performing his rendition of Louis Armstrong’s “What a Wonderful World.” To my surprise, he jumped from his normal singing voice to a Armstrong-ish growly impression (about 30 seconds in).

I smiled for the first time today. This guy saved me. This guy saved my CES. The rest of the day went better. I’ll always have this video to make my day brighter. Hopefully it will do the same for you.
