Notorious porn star Ron Jeremy let himself down when trying to defend his industry at a CES panel. When deflecting attacks from an anti-porn activist, the adult entertainment star chose not to stand up for pornography on its own merits, but tried to deflect the argument onto a scapegoat, claiming videogames were worse.

“[Studies have] found that violent video games are much bigger a negative influence on kids,” claims the man known as The Hegehog. He argued that porn doesn’t market itself to kids, therefore shouldn’t be considered a problem, completely ignoring the fact that violent games aren’t supposed to be for children either.

I’m actually quite let down by Jeremy and would expect a member of a constantly persecuted industry to not turn the persecution onto others. It’s rather hypocritical behavior and it doesn’t speak up for pornography’s merits by merely saying “something else is worse, don’t look at us!” Very disappointing behavior from a guy who should know better.
