CES 2009: Capcom teases us with the Resident Evil 5 Collector’s Edition tin

Recommended Videos

When Capcom invited us up to its suite to check out their new wares today — Street Fighter IV, Resident Evil 5, and Dark Void, among others — we didn’t know we’d get a gift. Yup, Capcom handed us a Resident Evil 5 collector’s edition tin. But don’t get excited like we did at first — really, it’s just the tin.

While it’s just your typical collector’s edition tin, constructed exactly like the tins Capcom produced for Resident Evil 4 for the GameCube and the PlayStation 2, it’s pretty enough to share. Unfortunately, there’s not much to say that these pictures can’t convey, so I’m not even going to try. It’s most definitely a tin with a space for two discs — the game itself, and the fancy bonus disc that will come along with it.

We’ll have to wait until March 13 to put an actualy copy of Resident Evil 5 in the tin. But until then, we’ll be using it to house our two CDs we’ve lost the cases for: Technotronic’s Body to Body and Sir Mix Alot’s 1992 classic, Mack Daddy. Thanks, Capcom!
