Many Happy Returns to the chilli-dog lovin’ blue blur
The official Sonic the Hedgehog twitter account has put out a heads up that a new episode of the fun animated series, Sonic Mania Adventures, will be going live on YouTube today.
The new episode arrives one day short of June 23, which is the anthropomorphic superstar’s birthday. Yes, believe it or not, it has been 27 years since Sega’s mascot took the video game world by storm with Sonic the Hedgehog for the Genesis. The exciting new platformer wowed America and Japan in 1991 with its high-speed visuals, whilst us PAL players trudged through 50hz molasses, wondering what all the fuss was about.
