Celebrate Canada Day with a Steam sale

Because you’ve all still got money left after the summer sale, right?

I’ll be honest, being from Scotland means I don’t know about a lot about Canadian culture; I know there’s some great Canadian bands (Fucked Up, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Buck 65) and I know there’s also some pish ones (you know who I mean). I do know that Canadians make some darn fine videogames and you can celebrate Canada Day by buying some of them on the cheap.

There’s a special Canada Day sale happening on Steam, because Gabe Newell decided to give us all Monday off, reducing the price of a bunch of Canadian-made games. There’s some real variety here and some of my personal favorites like Mark of the Ninja, Sword & Sworcery, Guacamelee! and The Yawhg

If you didn’t pick them up in the big summer sale, then Home, Rogue Legacy, Retro City Rampage, Contrast, Starseed Pilgrim are all worth picking up too. There’s between 50% and 80% off these titles so that’s gonna leave you plenty of money to spend on poutine and bacon today. (That’s a Canadian thing, right? You guys need to help me out here.)
