Current projects not affected

Development of MMO World of Darkness shut down about a month or so ago. Now it seems that CCP is preparing to cut 49 jobs as part of a restructuring.

Polygon has learned that a meeting at CCP’s Icelandic offices is currently being held to figure out this restructure, and that severance packages and job placement assistance are being offered for those affected.

A statement from CCP says that development teams and plans for EVE Online, EVE: Valkyrie, DUST 514, and ‘Project Legion’ are not impacted by this restructuring.

Polygon’s sources say that while this cut is big for the Reykjavik office, staff at other offices are also affected. They’ve also heard that these moves could be the result of investor pressure.

Best of luck to those affected.
