Announced earlier this year to little fanfare, SNK’s King of Fighters CG animated series is now ready for broadcast, and you can watch the first two episodes below.

KOF fans will be aware that the series has an incredibly complex (ridiculous) storyline that spans throughout the game’s timeline. Despite this, the only real cinematic efforts produced so far are KOF: Another Day, a very short anime from 2005, and the horrendous live-action movie from 2010.

The new King of Fighters: Destiny series, which was produced in China, has 24 episodes planned, and has been created to promote the new mobile game King of Fighters: World.

Here are episodes one and two, with English subtitles. Everyone is really shiny and goofy-looking. As for the cast, well, there’s Kyo, Mature, Terry, Yuri, Benimaru even GEEEESE.

But no Leona? A travesty.
