Castle Crashers hits one million players

Yesterday saw a milestone for Castle Crashers as the XBLA side-scrolling beat-em-up hit one million players. After only ten months on the service at that.

It should not come as any surprise. The game has managed to keep itself in the top ten games purchased over Live Arcade even as recently as last month where it spent at least three of the four weeks in the top three. Still, that’s a metric s–t ton of sales for an indie developer.

A well-deserved metric s–t ton if you ask me. Despite the multiplayer and savegame glitches which plagued the title for many months after release, it was and remains one of the very best games on the service. Congratulations, Behemoth!
