Captain Toad is Nintendo’s best new protagonist

I mean look at him!

My goodness, this website for Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. Our little adventurer can perform such actions as “throw,” “dig,” and “tumble.” I can’t take it. Too much.

There’s a gallery with several new screenshots, including the best of the bunch, embedded above.

Don’t get me wrong, I liked the Captain Toad levels in Super Mario 3D World — maybe even loved them — but I didn’t realize how much I wanted more of this type of “mini-maze adventure” prior to Treasure Tracker. I really want more. This just plain looks excellent.
