Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix is a show coming to Netflix this Fall

It’s colorful, at least

Ubisoft has shown off a trailer for their upcoming animated show, Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix. I would have been more excited for a game, but that’s just me. This is not that. It is not a sequel to Blood Dragon. It’s a show that is coming to Netflix this Fall.

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon was a standalone expansion to Far Cry 3 that, in a rare move for Ubisoft, looked like it was made by people having fun with their work. Unfortunately, it looks like Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix isn’t really… that. It’s not looking very parody ‘80s cyberpunk.

But! Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix does look kind of fun. There are Easter eggs, butts, and speed lines. There are some rainbows. It also looks like there’s going to be some Assassin’s Creed wrapped in there. Could be good. I’ve got no reason to believe otherwise.

I mean, I would still prefer that Ubisoft just makes another dumb-fun game, but I suppose that might be asking too much. At least they didn’t describe the show as being “semi-open world.”
