Capcom’s card game Teppen adds Jill Valentine into the mix

Along with a new expansion

In case you missed it, I’ve been playing a lot of Teppen this past month. A co-developed venture from GungHo and Capcom, Teppen is a real-time card game that features heavy-hitters from the Capcom universe, who serve as “heroes” that utilize a number of cards (which are oftentimes not-so-heavy hitters or cameos).

That growing list of heroes includes Ryu, Rathalos, Mega Man X, Chun-Li, Morrigan, Dante, Wesker, and Nergigante: and now it’s getting another Resident Evil addition. Yep, Jill Valentine joins Wesker to prop up the RE representation to two appearances, while Chris Redfield still functions as a card. Jill is being added in tandem with the “Day of Nightmares” card expansion, due in September. Teppen is also being released all across Asia (Japan, Australia, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Macau, Malaysia, the Philippines, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, and Thailand) today.

I think we see where this is going. Street Fighter is taken care of with Ryu and Chun-Li. Same with Monster Hunter with Rathalos and Nergigante. Perhaps we’ll see another Darkstalkers character at some point, as well as a Trish to go with Dante and Zero to pair with Mega Man X.
