The follow-up is here

Two Monster Hunter games in one day?! Well I’d never.

Right after giving us the bombshell of Monster Hunter Rise for Switch, Capcom followed that up with a sequel to Monster Hunter Stories. It’s called Monster Hunter Stories 2 (duh) with the Wings of Ruin subtitle, and is slated to arrive on Switch in the summer of 2021.

Additionally, it’ll have some sort of vague ability to connect to Monster Hunter Rise. More information for both titles is said to come later this month at TGS, so maybe we’ll hear more about that aspect then.

I must admit, I’m going to miss the 3DS. For all its flaws, this series felt right at home on there.
